The Weekend Recap: July 29th, 2013

Ah, the Dog Days of Summer are here, but it also means that the racing calendar is a busy one and this past weekend was no exception with Parvilla athletes rocking races all over the East Coast.

Ironman Lake Placid 2013

Parvilla had three friends of the store racing in Lake Placid this year, including Paul Olin on his Guru.  All three had great races in what proved to be challenging and ever changing conditions in the mountains of the Adirondacks!  If you haven't seen the course profile for Lake Placid it is certainly one of the toughest Ironman races anywhere in the world and you need to be on top of your game to being welcomed home into the famed skated arena and be called an "Ironman".

Julie Dukes - 12hrs 04mins

Greg Nercessian - 13hrs 33mins

Paul Olin - 11hrs 11mins

Endless Summer 6-hr Run

The Whisman clan of Kevin, Bobbi and Cori ran their first ultra event this Saturday at the locally held Endless Summer 6-hr event.  Competing in the team relay event they ran past the 50km mark and got their first official ultra finish.  The Kilted One (Kevin) may have got the Ultra bug as he is already thinking of racing the event solo next summer!

The Big Blue Train - Annapolis Bicycle Racing Team
